If a company wants to be successful today and in the future, it can only do so in a sustainable manner. Group Ceyssens has been playing the green card for some time now, and with results! That is why we also created the Cgreen logo, which symbolises our ecological ambitions.
We have a series of solar panels on the roof and on a ramp, providing the entire company with self-supporting green energy. The solar panels on our site generate approximately 1.3 megawatts of electricity, more than enough for the electricity needs of our production, our offices, and the show house. We are also continuing this philosophy in the greening of our fleet. All fossil fuel vehicles are systematically being replaced by electric and hybrid cars.
This makes Group Ceyssens the only company in the Benelux that produces its insulating glass 100% energy-neutrally.
Glass, as well as windows and doors, can have a very large impact on your home’s energy consumption. That is why we always try to convince our clients to use triple glazing in combination with aluminium profiles. Unlike PVC and wood, aluminium profiles are very durable, require little to no maintenance, and are timeless. Triple glazing has a very low U-value, and the lower this U-value, the less heat loss occurs through the glazing. If you also choose solar control glazing on top of that, you score twice: thermal insulation in winter and sun protection in summer. Close to perfection!
Ceyssens staff are constantly encouraged to recycle correctly. Furthermore, the new fully automated production hall contributes to a drastic reduction in our cutting losses. Thanks to the new computer-controlled production process, the glass panels are cut as optimally as possible, keeping the residual fraction of the glass panels to an absolute minimum. Moreover, glass is not waste but a valuable product that can be perfectly recycled.
But just because we are the only company in the Benelux that produces its insulating glass with its own green electricity does not mean we are going to rest on our laurels. Together with our technology partners, we continue to work on reducing the ecological footprint of our company and our products.
