Group Ceyssens is fully committed to sustainability!
If a business aims to be successful both today and in the future, this can only be achieved with a sustainable approach. Group Ceyssens has had a green focus for years – and with results to show for it! That is why we have created the Cgreen logo to symbolise our ecological ambitions.
Energy-neutral production
We have installed solar panels on the roof and ramp, making the entire company self-sufficient with green energy. The solar panels at our site generate around 1.3 megawatts of power, more than enough to meet the electricity needs of our production facility, offices and the show house. That same green focus can be seen in our fleet of vehicles. All fossil fuel vehicles are systematically replaced by electric and hybrid vehicles.
Group Ceyssens is the only company in the Benelux to produce insulating glazing in a 100% energy-neutral way.
Super insulating windows and doors
Not only glass, but also windows and doors can have a significant impact on the energy consumption of a home. That is why we do our best to convince our customers to use triple glass in combination with aluminium profiles. Unlike PVC and wood, aluminium profiles are extremely durable, require little to no maintenance and are timeless. Triple glazing has a very low U-value and the lower the U-value, the less heat loss through the glass. Add solar control glazing to the mix and the benefits are doubled: thermal insulation in the winter and solar shading in the summer. As close to perfection as it gets!
Intensive recycling and waste management
Ceyssens staff are continuously made aware of proper recycling practices. The new fully automatic production facility also contributes to a significant reduction in cutting losses. Thanks to the new computer-driven production process, the glass sheets are cut as accurately as possible, thereby limiting the residual fraction of the glass sheets to an absolute minimum. Incidentally, glass is not considered waste, but a valuable product that can be easily and efficiently recycled.
But the fact that we are the only company in the Benelux to produce insulated glass with self-generated green energy does not mean we can rest on our laurels. Together with our technology partners, we continue to work on a smaller ecological footprint for our company and products.
